Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior HV Underground Transmission Line Engineer to lead design and execution of high‑voltage underground, submarine cable, and HVDC projects. Based in Boise, you will collaborate with program managers to direct multi‑site engineering teams and ensure adherence to technical standards.

You will mentor engineers, manage project scope, schedules, and QA/QC, and contribute to technical papers and client interfaces.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in underground HV design.
• PE license required or active licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of underground HV transmission projects.
• Mentor engineers across multiple offices and manage project staffing.
• Develop and implement project execution and QA/QC plans and participate in reviews.
