Job summary
HDR is seeking a Senior HV Underground Transmission Line Engineer to lead and mentor project teams on high‑voltage underground and submarine cable projects. You will guide technical design, ensure compliance with standards, and coordinate with managers across multiple locations.
Responsibilities include developing execution and quality plans, auditing progress, and supporting client interfaces. Travel may be required, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, mentorship, and delivering complex HV
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10+ years in underground/submarine HV design.
- PE license and extensive Power Market Sector execution experience.
- Experience leading teams across multiple offices and clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams and oversee engineering aspects of underground line projects.
- Develop execution and quality plans and perform audits as needed.
- Coordinate standards, client support, and staffing across offices.
- Mentor Engineering Managers on design, risk, and schedules.
- Support proposals, papers, and industry presentations.
