Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer for Boise with strong experience in high voltage line design. You will perform conceptual and detailed design work, develop construction release packages, and lead design reviews with clients.

The role requires PE licensure and proficiency with PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit, and related tools. The position emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, schedule and budget awareness, and engagement with multiple stakeholders, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; civil/mechanical-related field acceptable.
• PE license required; experience in power delivery projects preferred.
• Proficient with design software and industry codes (NESC, IEEE, ASCE, ACI).

Responsibilities

• Prepare design deliverables for conceptual and detailed transmission lines using PLS-CADD and foundation software.
• Coordinate construction release packages including plans, profiles, load trees and BOMs.
• Mentor junior team members and perform QA reviews of work.
• Identify learning opportunities for EITs/ Designers and promote knowledge sharing.
