WSP USA is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Project Engineer to lead high‑voltage overhead transmission projects from our Boise, Idaho office with hybrid/remote options across multiple locations, including Billings, MT.

The role requires 10+ years in transmission engineering, PE licensure, and deep knowledge of PLS-CADD, NESC, and related standards. You will guide project teams, manage schedules, and mentor staff while ensuring safety and quality across deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in transmission engineering with project leadership.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
• Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
• Excellent command of English with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience using the Microsoft Office suite.
• Commitment to workplace safety and company policies.

Responsabilités

• Lead engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams across the organization.
• Support PMs with scope, schedule, and budget for new projects.
• Mentor staff and support recruitment and resource planning.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and safety compliance.
