Job summary

WSP Global Inc. seeks a Senior Transmission Line Project Engineer for our Boise, Idaho office. Hybrid or remote work options are available from Nampa, ID and other U.S.

locations. You will lead high‑voltage overhead projects, coordinate across disciplines, and mentor staff while ensuring quality and safety standards. The role requires 10+ years in transmission engineering, a PE license, and strong knowledge of PLS‑CADD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in the transmission engineering field managing projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
• Understanding of the NESC, RUS, and/or GO-95.
• Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
• Strong command of English with good written and oral communication.
• Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute engineering of transmission projects up to 765kV.
• Create and maintain project schedules and facilitate regular project meetings.
• Coordinate with clients on project status and provide updates.
• Maintain cross-disciplinary communication and resource forecasting.
• Lead project teams and travel to client offices or field sites as needed.
• Support PMs with scope, schedule, and budget development.
