Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a Manager of Transmission Line Engineer to lead a collaborative team on high voltage line design projects from 34.5 kV to 765 kV, applying NESC, ASCE, NEC, and related standards.

You will develop engineering analyses, bidding documents, plans, and construction documents, working with planning, environmental, permitting, and construction teams to deliver outcomes. The role involves managing a team, supervising staff, mentoring, and overseeing proposals, scopes, and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 12+ years in high voltage transmission design.
• Professional Engineering Registration in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, POLE, TOWER, SAG10, LPILE or FAD and MS Office.
• Ability to work in a team and contribute to proposals and client relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering team and supervise direct reports.
• Perform analyses, prepare bidding documents, plans, specs, and procurement/construction docs.
• Collaborate with planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management teams.
• Develop and manage project scope, proposals, and client relationships.
• Apply AI and digital design tools to grid modernization.
