Job summary

Leidos Inc. is seeking a senior Lead Transmission Line Engineer to manage a dynamic team delivering high-voltage transmission designs from 34.5 kV to 765 kV for major utilities.

You will act as Lead Engineer and Technical Project Manager, applying NESC, ASCE, NEC, and other standards. The role emphasizes staff development, client relations, scope management, and new business capture, with hybrid work options and potential remote work for qualified candidates in PA, OH, or WV.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years in high-voltage transmission design.
• Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE with strong client-facing communication.
• EIT certification and ability to obtain PE within 6 months; onsite work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Direct multiple design teams on high-voltage transmission projects for utilities.
• Develop and mentor staff, manage performance reviews, and complete staffing plans.
• Lead proposals, scope creation/change, and capture new business opportunities.
• Coordinate with clients to maintain relationships and drive project success.
• Monitor schedule and budget with Project Managers to ensure delivery and quality.
