Arup in New York is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Designer to lead the overhead transmission line design from planning through construction. You will develop routing studies, structure spotting, plan‑and‑profile drawings, and coordination with substation, civil, geotechnical and environmental teams.

Lead the design for 69 kV to 765 kV projects, review engineering deliverables, perform loading and clearance analyses, and ensure compliance with NESC and industry standards.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in civil, electrical, or related field with 5+ years in overhead transmission line design.
• Experience delivering 69 kV to 765 kV projects with routing, plan-and-profile and foundation coordination.
• Familiar with NESC, IEEE C2, ASCE 7/10 and utility design practices.

Mansioni

• Lead design, development, and delivery of overhead transmission lines from planning to construction.
• Prepare and review route evaluations, structure spotting, and construction packages.
• Coordinate with civil, environmental, and permitting teams to ensure project execution.
• Mentor junior designers and ensure quality across deliverables.
• Review and seal documents where permitted.
