Job summary

Haskell is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer in the United States to lead design, analysis, and execution of HV transmission projects from 69kV to 500kV. You will mentor junior staff and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

You will serve as a technical expert in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-TOWER, ensuring compliance with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and other standards while shaping concrete delivery packages and cost estimates for EPC and design-bid-build

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one U.S. state (or ability to obtain via reciprocity).
8+ years of experience in high-voltage transmission line engineering (69kV-500kV).
Proficiency in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and/or PLS-TOWER; foundation analysis tools such as MFAD, LPILE, or FAD Tools.

Responsibilities

Lead and perform design and analysis of overhead transmission lines, including structure selection, routing, line modeling, and foundation engineering.
Develop and review PLS-CADD models, plan & profile drawings, structure loading calculations, conductor sag/tension analysis, and foundation designs.
Apply industry standards (NESC, ASCE, ACI, IEEE, GO95, RUS) and interpret survey data and environmental constraints into constructible designs.
Support project lifecycle activities with clients, permitting agencies, and contractors; provide bidding, procurement, and construction phase support.
Conduct site visits, engineering QA/QC, and field verification; assist with cost estimates and design packages for EPC and design-bid-build projects.
Lead multi-disciplinary design teams and mentor junior engineers, designers, and drafters.
