Job summary

XP Power is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer for the HVHP division to lead high‑voltage, high‑power design projects from concept through matured designs. The role blends hands‑on lab work with cross‑site collaboration and technical reviews across NPD programs.

This senior individual‑contributor position requires strong HV DC design experience, mentoring skills, and the ability to present findings to stakeholders. Occasional travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• 10–15 years of power electronics design and development experience.
• 10+ years of high voltage DC design experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading technology development projects from concept through design-ready maturity.
• Strong analog and digital circuit analysis skills with deep HV DC power supply design expertise.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers.
• Ability to work hands-on with lab equipment and tools.
• Programming experience (C, LabView, Matlab) is desirable.
• Familiarity with RS232, USB, Ethernet is desirable.
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills for presenting findings.
• Ability to represent HVHP independently in cross-site discussions.
• Ability to multitask and shift priorities.
• Willingness to work flexible hours occasionally.
• Limited travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Own execution of High Bridge’s assigned projects within the XP HV Technology roadmap—from concept through design-ready maturity, including goals, plans, timelines, resources, and costs.
• Document and present HV technology findings to technical stakeholders across XP on a regular cadence.
• Serve as a senior technical resource across active NPD projects, including schematic creation and PCB reviews, design reviews, breadboarding, testing, and reporting.
• Carry meaningful technical sign-off weight in design reviews, identifying issues early.
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers, reviewing their work and transferring HV knowledge.
• Represent HVHP in cross-site design reviews and technical discussions independently.
