Job summary

Advanced Energy is a global leader in precision power conversion, measurement, and control solutions. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will drive innovation from concept through execution, applying research, design, development, and documentation to solve complex engineering challenges.

You will evaluate concepts through analysis and testing, collaborate with engineering leaders, customers, and external partners, and influence key decisions across the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience as an electrical engineer.
• Experience identifying and selecting safety-critical components related to engineering change order activities.
• Knowledge of operational amplifiers and analog circuit design.
• Familiarity with power supplies; firmware experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designs and analyzes high voltage AC‑DC and DC‑DC modules up to 60kV and 500W.
• Diagnoses issues related to design, field performance, reliability and test yields and implements corrective actions.
• Assumes responsibility for product success in customer applications and recommends improvements.
• Follows Product Development Process and ECO processes.
