Job summary

Spellman High Voltage Electronics Corporation in Hauppauge, NY, is seeking a Senior Engineer in Power Electronics, Power Management and Digital Controls to advance the technology roadmap and support mass production.

You will lead development of high-voltage power supplies, inverters and related systems, perform modeling and simulations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. On-site role with a strong emphasis on design reviews, documentation, and mentoring.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering with strong PID controls experience (hardware+software).
• Power electronics converter design, modeling, build and test.
• In-depth knowledge of SiC/GaN for high-voltage power conversion.
• Analog circuit design expertise and PCB layout proficiency.
• Multi-physics simulations: electro-thermo-mechanical systems.
• Strong design documentation, MTBF/DFX knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design power conversion and control circuits from high-level requirements.
• Model, simulate, prototype, test, troubleshoot and report results.
• Develop product architectures for robust power solutions.
• Detailed circuit analysis for reliability and producibility.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with standards and company guidelines.
