Position: Senior Human Resources Manager in the West Division

Location: California (Sacramento, Riverside, Laguna Hills, or San Diego)

Type: Hybrid (3 days a week in-office)

Travel: Required as needed

Your Role: Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner, providing leadership to managers, leading HR teams, and championing talent management and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with division managers to evaluate staff capabilities and develop tailored staff development initiatives.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and partner with business units for success.
  • Lead Talent Management processes, identify skill gaps, and recommend training opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough investigations as assigned.
  • Provide workforce planning guidance and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Train and develop leadership teams to manage employee relations effectively.
  • Propose solutions to foster a safe, productive workplace.
  • Build morale, increase productivity, and improve retention through close management-employee relationships.
  • Offer HR policy guidance and interpretation to ensure clarity and consistency.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years HR experience, with at least 7 years in a consulting engineering or related service firm. California experience is required; multi-state experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s/MBA preferred.
  • Senior-level certification (SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP) required; DISC or EIQ certifications are a plus.
  • Strong communication, consulting, conflict management, and client management skills; self-motivated with good business acumen.
