Base pay range

$125,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr

We are assisting our client, a global company based in Tokyo, Japan, in their search for an experienced HR professional to manage their growing U.S. operations. This role offers the opportunity to be a key partner in developing HR strategies, improving employee experiences, and overseeing benefits and payroll processes for a diverse, complex organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and evaluate U.S. welfare benefits, including health, dental, life insurance, and retirement plans.
  • Oversee the bi-weekly and monthly payroll for 200+ U.S. employees, including multi-state payroll processing.
  • Design and recommend benefits policies ensuring competitiveness, cost-effectiveness, and legal compliance.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including brokers, auditors, and financial advisors.
  • Lead the benefits open enrollment process and ensure smooth integration of benefits for newly acquired companies.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal HR systems, focusing on automation and employee experience.
  • Supervise HR accounting, including payroll journal entries, cost allocation, and benefits-related expenses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • At least five years of experience in welfare benefit design and administration.
  • Extensive experience in payroll processing and knowledge of ERISA and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Prior experience with RPA/AI is a plus.
