Job summary

Frey Consulting Group is seeking a knowledgeable HR Generalist to support our small manufacturing team. The role spans recruitment, benefits, payroll, compliance, and employee relations to enable a productive workforce.

The successful candidate will handle onboarding, HRIS data integrity, policy development, and performance management while fostering a positive culture aligned with company values. Experience in manufacturing is preferred, with a Bachelor's in HR or related field.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations (OSHA, EEO, FMLA, etc.).
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: posting, screening, interviewing, onboarding.
  • Administer benefits programs and serve as primary benefits contact
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data integrity
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures aligned with company objectives
  • Handle employee relations, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
  • Coordinate performance management, including reviews and development plans
  • Manage workers' compensation and workplace safety initiatives
  • Process payroll and maintain time/attendance records
  • Support training and development programs for employees
  • Assist with HR reporting and analytics for business decisions
  • Foster a positive workplace culture aligned with company values

Job description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and versatile Human Resources Generalist to join our small manufacturing company. This role will serve as a key HR partner, managing a broad spectrum of human resources functions to support our growing workforce. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a comprehensive understanding of HR best practices in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations (OSHA, EEO, FMLA, etc.)
  • Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Problem-solving abilities and sound judgment in complex situations
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar)
  • Experience with payroll processing and workers' compensation administration
