Job summary

StevenDouglas is partnering with a well-established organization in South Florida to identify an experienced Interim HR Generalist. This onsite, hands-on role supports the HR team during growth and transition and requires immediate availability to step in and drive people initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HR generalist experience, strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws, and hands-on experience with Paycom or similar HRIS platforms. Onsite in South Florida, 5 days a week.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR generalist or HR management experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience with HRIS platforms (Paycom) and handling employee lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR Generalist to site leaders and managers, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend fair, compliant resolutions.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes, ensuring accuracy in HRIS records.
• Administer and advise on leaves of absence, accommodations, and benefits questions in partnership with internal teams and vendors.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and EEO requirements.
• Support talent acquisition, engagement, and retention initiatives as needed.
• Prepare HR reports and metrics and contribute to process improvements across the HR function.

This is a hands-on role supporting the HR team during a period of growth and transition, ideal for a seasoned HR generalist who can step in quickly and make an immediate impact. (Onsite 5 day a week)

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted HR Generalist to site leaders and managers, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend fair, compliant resolutions.
• Support onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes, ensuring accuracy in HRIS records.

• Available to start immediately and work onsite in South Florida.
