Job summary

Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) seeks a Senior Consultant in Ann Arbor, MI to lead multidisciplinary forensic and safety investigations. The role emphasizes human factors, risk assessment, and expert testimony.

You will work with clients and teams to produce clear, evidence-based conclusions and actionable recommendations. Requirements include a Master’s degree, 5–10 years in forensic/safety consulting, and strong skills in MATLAB, PsychoPy, and R.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required; PhD preferred in related field.
• Five to ten years in forensic or safety consulting.
• Experience with human factors, neuropsychology, or related topics; certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead project reviews to plan time frames, funding, and staffing.
• Evaluate root causes in industrial, transportation, and consumer product accidents.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and resolve issues.
• Review media and statements to shape conclusions and next steps.
• Inspect accident scenes and involved equipment as needed.
• Design tests or models to assess performance and human factors.
• Prepare reports and present findings clearly to clients and experts.
• Collaborate with BD to identify client opportunities and strategies.
