Job summary

Engineering Systems, Inc. (ESi) seeks a seasoned consultant to lead forensic investigations, analyze incidents, and communicate findings clearly. You will work with clients, prepare reports, and contribute to risk assessments and testing plans.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in a related field (PhD preferred) with 5–10 years in safety consulting; experience with MATLAB, PsychoPy, and R is desirable, along with a track record of delivering practical insights.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a relevant field.
• Ph.D. in related field preferred.
• Five to ten years of forensic or safety consulting experience.
• Experience with human factors topics and related coursework.

Responsibilities

• Reviews proposals to determine scope, time frame and resources.
• Evaluates root causes in industrial, transportation, and consumer product incidents.
• Provides technical advice and resolves project problems.
• Performs site inspections and reviews media to plan investigations.
• Designs tests/models to evaluate human performance or machine factors.
• Prepares written reports and presents findings clearly.
• Gives expert testimony as needed and supports client development.
