Job summary

Activate Group Limited is seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to lead the Compliance, Risk & Sustainability function. The role supports site risk management, maintains the HSE management system, and provides governance reporting to the Executive team. The position involves considerable time on site and regular travel.

The successful candidate will drive safety culture, ensure legal compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement across bodyshop, parts and office sites.

Qualifications

• Essential NEBOSH National General Certificate.
• Desirable NEBOSH Diploma or Level 6.
• CMIOSH membership or working towards.
• Significant multi-site HSE experience in automotive/manufacturing sectors.
• Strong knowledge of COSHH, LEV, RPE and health surveillance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the Group HSE Management System in line with current legislation and ISO 45001.
• Own risk assessment framework and support sites to complete risk assessments.
• Oversee COSHH, LEV, PPE, DSEAR and PUWER compliance and audits.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure timely close-out of actions.
• Deliver HSE training and lead safety communications across sites.
