Columbia Farm Services is a Washington-based tree fruit agricultural operation seeking an HR Manager to lead the HR and payroll team, own employee relations and policy, and ensure compliance with WA, OR, and federal law.

You will supervise payroll, manage benefits and leave programs, and partner with field leadership across multiple sites, including seasonal staff, to support workforce planning and recruiting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including supervision of staff.
• Strong working knowledge of WA/OR employment law; agricultural experience preferred.
• Experience with large seasonal or hourly workforces.
• Proficiency with HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft 365.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop the HR team and partner with Payroll and the H-2A Specialist.
• Own employee relations: investigations, corrective action, terminations, and manager coaching.
• Maintain the employee handbook and HR policies to stay current with WA, OR, and federal law.
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding for year-round and seasonal staff.
• Ensure accurate weekly payroll processing in partnership with the payroll team.
• Manage benefits administration, leave programs, and L&I claims oversight.
• Ensure compliance with overtime, breaks, MSPA, I-9, and record-keeping requirements.
• Build and track HR metrics, including turnover and headcount.
• Collaborate with field leadership on staffing and workforce planning.
