Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced HR professional for a project-based role in Louisiana. Manage full employment life cycle, recruit, handle employee relations, talent management, training, and benefits with on-site collaboration across business units.

The role involves partnering with leadership, overseeing HR Generalists, and administering labor relations strategies while ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited degree program and minimum of 7 years of progressive Human Resources experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, and 3 years of supervisory or management experience, required
• Professional in Human Resources®(PHR®) or SHRM CP® certification preferred
• Bilingual
• Construction or construction-related industries experience in large-size organization preferred
• Good understanding of business and construction operations
• Excellent problem-solving skills and continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; communicate effectively at all levels
• Self-starter with advanced HR systems and project management skills
• Experience with engagement at senior management level
• Supervisory experience and management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft HR applications
• Continued travel

Responsibilities

• Promote company culture, values, and diversity and inclusion activities across the company
• Serve as trusted adviser and build partnerships with local management and employees to provide guidance on HR policies and laws
• Participate in defining goals and decisions for client group and drive continuous improvement
• Deliver an extraordinary employee experience by fostering a trusting HR environment on-site
• Lead and develop HR Generalists/Administrators across locations and support performance cycles
• Serve as primary HR liaison with Third Party Labor Providers and labor relations
• Advise leadership on labor relations strategy and risk; collaborate with HR Director and legal on complex matters
• Assist in Talent Acquisition plans including campus recruits and experienced hires
• Develop sourcing strategies with department heads and hiring managers
• Participate in staffing meetings for skilled labor needs
• Contribute to salary planning and compensation administration and merit guidance
• Other duties as assigned
