Job summary

Runway is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to own day-to-day HR operations and help scale a fast-growing team. You will manage onboarding to offboarding for employees and contractors, oversee HRIS in Rippling, and handle immigration, leave, and compliance in multiple jurisdictions.

You will partner with the HR Manager to run programs like performance reviews, open enrollment, and engagement surveys, while advising managers and leaders on policies and day-to-day HR issues.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or people operations role at a high-growth company.
• Deep working knowledge of benefits, leave administration, immigration basics and employment law across multiple states.
• Experience running company-wide programs such as performance cycles, open enrollment and engagement surveys.
• Strong HRIS skills, with Rippling experience a strong plus.
• Clear written and verbal communication, and the credibility to advise managers and senior leaders.
• Comfort operating independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
• Exceptional organization and attention to detail.
• A high ownership mindset and a team-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Own the employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding for full-time employees and contractors, and continually improve the process as the team grows.
• Own HRIS administration and data integrity in Rippling, including reporting, audits and workflow automation.
• Manage employee visa and immigration processes in partnership with outside counsel.
• Oversee leave administration and accommodations across jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with employment laws.
• Run key programs end to end with the HR Manager, including performance reviews, open enrollment, engagement surveys and compensation cycles.
• Act as the go-to resource for employees and managers on benefits, policies and HR processes.
• Identify gaps in HR operations and implement fixes: updated policies, clearer documentation, and more efficient tooling.
• Pitch in wherever the team needs; no task is too small if it moves things forward.
