Placements24 is seeking a Senior HR Generalist for a fully remote role. You will oversee employee relations, policy development, talent management, and compliance while supporting a distributed team across regions.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in HR, strong HRIS and data analytics skills, and a background in South African labor law. Remote work requires excellent communication and independent prioritization in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR or related field; Master's preferred
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience with HR Generalist background
• In-depth knowledge of South African labor law and HR best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with HR data
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
• Experience in remote or hybrid work environments is essential
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Manage and advise on complex employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
• Develop, implement, and refine HR policies and procedures in line with labor laws and business needs.
• Lead talent management initiatives, including performance management, succession planning, and career development frameworks.
• Oversee the employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive experience for all.
• Partner with leadership to develop and execute workforce planning strategies.
• Analyze HR data and metrics to provide insights and recommendations for organizational improvement.
• Drive initiatives related to employee engagement, diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant South African labor laws and regulations.
• Support the recruitment process by advising on strategies for attracting top talent.
• Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR projects and system enhancements.
