Smith Gardens, Inc. is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to lead merchandising recruitment, partner with regional managers, and drive policy development and employee relations. The role emphasizes training, coaching, and program implementation across the HR function.

You will collaborate with leadership to develop standard work, ensure compliant practices, and foster a positive, engaged workforce at multiple locations. A broad HR background with recruiting and employment law is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years minimum HR Generalist experience with emphasis on recruiting, policy development and employment law.
• HR Certification (SHRM or HRCI) preferred.
• Proficient in MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new recruitment strategy for Merchandising.
• Coordinate with RMM and MS to develop job descriptions and compensation strategies.
• Provide daily coaching and HR guidance to RMM and MS.
• Oversee HR Recruitment Coordinator who handles postings and onboarding.
• Coordinate training for Merchandising team on performance management and policies.
• Strategic partner to Transportation group, developing SOPs and standard work.
• Establish standard work in HR policies and programs.
• Ensure positive employee relations and morale.
