Job summary

AM General is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to manage salaried onboarding at IN locations, maintain HR records, and support employee engagement. The role requires handling I-9s, background checks, and HRIS data entry with a focus on confidentiality and professionalism.

You will collaborate with HR leadership to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, develop training content, and support a fast-paced environment across multiple sites. Local travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or organizational management preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of current experience in a Human Resources role in a professional organization or corporate environment required.
• 3+ years’ experience with an HRIS system – UKG, UltiPro or Kronos preferred.
• Experience with social networks such as LinkedIn and/or job posting sites.
• Experience in full lifecycle recruiting.
• Able to handle complex issues with minimal supervision.
• Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills including Excel; able to use video conferencing.
• Must handle confidential information professionally and maintain organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage salaried new hire onboarding at IN locations and remote as needed.
• Manage employee badge system and I-9 verifications.
• Coordinate with HR support to process employment records and attendance.
• Assist with pre-employment verifications and background checks.
• Drive employee engagement through social networks and HR events.
• Maintain HRIS data entry for salaried personnel (promotions, changes, terminations).
• Handle inquiries and conduct disciplinary meetings; assist with exit interviews as needed.
• Travel locally to support multiple sites and coordinate training content.
