Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Sr. HR Generalist to support HR partners across multiple locations from Salinas, CA.

This hybrid role requires proximity to Salinas and oversight of 10-15 locations, delivering strategic HR guidance, policy interpretation, and workforce planning. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of HR experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and is comfortable traveling to field sites.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations to assist managers and employees.
• Serve as an HR Business Partner to field leadership.
• Direct and manage tasks, programs, and projects within the Field team.
• Provide strategic consulting to field leadership and hiring managers regarding staffing, compensation, performance, employee relations, policy compliance, training.
• Provide direction, coaching, and leadership to HR staff as applicable.
• Recommend improvements to increase efficiency of services.
• Partner with payroll, benefits, and national HR programs for proper communication.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation in the assigned geographic area.
• Work with national/local leadership on employee transition activities related to outsourcing, mergers, acquisitions, and new business.
• Conduct employee relations counseling, mediation, and investigations; handle grievances.
• Maintain advanced knowledge of HR Systems.
