Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Sr. HR Generalist to develop and administer HR policies and programs under HR Leadership across a multi-location footprint.

The role is remote but must be located in the New York/New Jersey area, with travel of 25% to 50% as needed. The candidate will partner with payroll, benefits, and national HR programs while ensuring compliance and delivering strategic HR support to field leadership and managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of HR experience with demonstrated ability to exercise appropriate judgment
• Ability to analyze, prioritize, delegate
• Demonstrates leadership and ability to hire and retain high performers
• Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving
• Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel
• Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service
• Detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Interpret and explain HR policies, procedures, laws, standards or regulations to managers and employees
• Serve as an HR Business Partner to field leadership
• Direct and manage tasks, programs, and projects within the Field team
• Provide strategic consulting on staffing, compensation, performance management, and employee relations
• Coach and lead HR staff as applicable
• Suggest new policies to improve service efficiency
• Partner with payroll, benefits, and national HR programs for communication
• Ensure compliance with employment laws in assigned geography
• Support leadership with employee transitions during outsourcing, mergers, and acquisitions; assist with due diligence and RFPs
• Conduct employee relations counseling, mediation, and investigations
