Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Generalist to provide HR support for a large client, serving as the primary HR partner for business leaders. You will guide on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning while ensuring policy and legal compliance.

You will collaborate with HR centers of excellence on compensation, staffing, benefits, and training initiatives, and help drive organizational effectiveness across the client’s operations in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations and business partnership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience managing complex employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
• Advanced proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned business leaders, guiding on employee relations, performance management, and planning.
• Interpret and apply company policies, employment laws, and HR programs to ensure compliant practices.
• Partner with managers to address employee relations, conduct investigations, and drive timely resolutions.
• Consult with leaders on staffing strategies, succession planning, retention, and engagement initiatives.
• Support compensation processes, including market benchmarking, promotions, and annual planning.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Benefits, and other HR centers of excellence to deliver HR programs.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and support audits and reporting.
• Analyze workforce data and HR metrics to identify trends and risks, advising leadership accordingly.
• Facilitate training initiatives, leadership development, and change management efforts.
• Support employee transitions related to acquisitions, restructures, and workforce reductions.
• Maintain accurate employee records and leverage HR systems for reporting and planning.
• Lead or participate in HR projects to enhance the employee experience and business outcomes.
