Job summary

WSP is seeking an HR Generalist to support two project groups within the Mobility Operations Team. This hybrid role can sit in Costa Mesa, CA or Irvine, CA and requires collaboration with HR centers of excellence and leadership.

You will advise on policy, performance management, employee relations and workforce planning while ensuring compliance with California employment laws. Occasional travel to Concord, CA is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in human resources or equivalent role.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• Analytical and organizational skills with business acumen.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Communicate HR policies and provide guidance to managers and employees.
• Assist HRBPs with investigations and action plans.
• Support salary decisions, promotions and special payments with discretion.
• Assist with HR policy adherence and employee performance coaching.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements.
• Support project communication strategies and HR process resources.
• Act as a strategic partner for business and HR centers of excellence.
• Stay current with California employment laws and HR practices.
