Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York City seeks a Senior Data Analyst for HR Shared Services on a hybrid basis. You will provide technical support firm-wide for HR data, Workday HCM, and payroll-related processes, and assist with testing during upgrades.

You will mentor junior staff, lead data audits, improve data management workflows, and collaborate with payroll and other offices to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of five years of related HR Shared Services experience, including Workday HCM experience.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Workday HCM and business process set up.
• Knowledge of database structure.
• Skilled at using technology to execute projects.
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrates close attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.
• Current knowledge of industry best practices, trends and techniques.
• Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
• Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides high-level technical support for processing employment data changes, including new hires, status changes, terminations, and time tracking.
• Provides training to new and existing People team professionals on various Workday processes, including hiring and data entry for Business Services Professionals (BSPs) and attorneys.
• Responsible for ensuring integrity of data and completion of tasks.
• Liaises with the Payroll Department to coordinate processing of employee payroll-related transactions.
• Works closely with other departments and collaborates with other teams to troubleshoot and provide solutions to issues.
• Analyzes existing HR data management processes and proposes and implements improvements in methods and procedures. Collaborates with supervisor on proposals.
• Leads the testing of business processes during Workday new releases and other new configuration testing, as needed.
• Mentors and provides guidance to junior team members on HR Shared Services processes and best practices.
• Serves as a subject matter expert on employee data management workflows and escalation procedures.
