Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates seeks a Senior Data Analyst in HR Shared Services for our New York City office (hybrid). You will provide technical support firm-wide for hiring, status changes, termination, and troubleshooting Workday processes, and train the People team on Workday data entry.

You will ensure data integrity, coordinate payroll-related transactions with Payroll, collaborate across departments, lead testing during Workday upgrades, and mentor junior staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum five years’ HR Shared Services experience, including Workday HCM.
• Strong knowledge of Workday HCM and business process setup.
• Knowledge of database structure.
• Proficient with Firm software (Workday, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn new software.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and planning skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level technical support for processing employment data changes.
• Train People team on Workday processes.
• Ensure data integrity and task completion.
• Coordinate payroll-related transactions with Payroll.
• Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot issues.
• Analyze HR data management processes and propose improvements.
• Process status changes such as transfers, position changes, FTE changes, salary adjustments.
• Support data audits to ensure accuracy.
• Assist pre-employees and terminated workers with Employee Self Service access.
• Collaborate with non-NY offices to ensure data accuracy.
• Create and maintain documentation on systems and procedures.
• Lead testing during Workday releases.
• Maintain Outlook distribution groups and manage department projects.
• Mentor junior team members on HR Shared Services processes.
• Serve as SME on data workflows and escalation procedures.
