Marathon Petroleum is seeking a Lead Human Resources Business Partner to support its refinery organization. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, aligning talent, organization, and workforce priorities with strategic business goals.

The role requires a business-minded HR professional who builds relationships, exercises sound judgment, and influences people and business decisions across multiple time zones and locations, including remote work environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in HR, labor relations, or related field preferred.
• Six+ years HR experience required; HRBP or HR Generalist experience preferred.
• Prior experience in petroleum, utilities, manufacturing, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement HR strategies aligned with business needs through influence and change management.
• Develop relationships with client groups to drive results and support talent reviews and succession planning.
• Promote inclusion and opportunity (I&O) to support a high performing culture.
• Provide guidance in HR policies, programs, and employee relations to ensure consistent business outcomes.
• Deliver leadership consulting, training, needs assessments, and organizational development support.
• Conduct investigations for employee disputes and assist in labor relations as needed.
• Lead special HR projects and enterprise HR initiatives as assigned.
