Job summary

Northern Trust seeks an HR Data and Analytics Senior Consultant to deliver data‑driven insights and reporting for HR strategy. You will partner with HRBPs to ensure metrics inform people decisions and business outcomes.

Responsibilities include analyzing turnover and job movement, designing dashboards, and governing sensitive data while collaborating across HR and business leaders in a hybrid work model with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of directly related experience.
• Familiarity with HRIS; Workday preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel; general Power BI knowledge.
• Ability to prioritize requests and manage stakeholders.
• Self-starter with ability to independently complete projects.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building and accountability.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Degree in Data Management, Statistics, or I/O Psychology.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data and produce visualizations to support understanding of data ( turnover, job movement, surveys ).
• Design and create reporting and analytics solutions to solve business issues with HRBPs.
• Learn the business and find appropriate approaches to issues.
• Consult with HRBPs to understand and anticipate business needs and guide data access.
• Govern and securely release sensitive data.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to enable recurring HR activities (succession planning, performance reviews, promotions).
