Job summary

The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) seeks an experienced Human Resource Advisor III to oversee labor relations, interpret regulations, manage collective bargaining agreements, and provide guidance to management and employees.

You'll participate in investigations, coordinate with labor representatives, and may serve as backup for Drug and Alcohol and CDL program coordination. Strong knowledge of HR laws and data reporting required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• Three years of professional human resource experience.
• Two years’ experience in labor relations and guidance on inquiries.
• Two years’ experience using automated HR information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to employees and management on HR policies and procedures.
• Interpret state and federal HR laws, rules and regulations for the department.
• Represent the department at grievance hearings and arbitrations.
• Coordinate with labor representatives and management on investigations and actions.
• Conduct investigations and prepare recommendations for leadership.
