Job summary

Westfield Senior Housing is seeking an Occupancy Specialist to manage tenant occupancy and ensure compliance with Tax Credit and HUD occupancy regulations. The role includes maintaining files, processing applications, managing waiting lists, and conducting certifications and tours with residents and families.

Candidate should have occupancy and tax credit certifications, experience with Yardi Classic and Breeze Compliance, and 3–5 years’ experience with elderly residents.

Qualifications

• Occupancy Specialist Certification required.
• Tax Credit Certification required.
• Experience with Yardi Classic and Breeze Compliance software.
• 3–5 years of experience with elderly residents and families recommended.
• Bachelor’s Degree recommended.

Responsibilities

• Manages tenant occupancy and minimizes vacancies.
• Maintain all occupancy files in an organized fashion.
• Update occupancy forms and Tenant Selection Plan.
• Plan and manage waiting list openings and advertising.
• Maintain and purge waiting lists.
• Conduct resident certifications and re-certifications.
• Run EIV and SAVE reports as required.
• Assist in initial interviews with prospective residents.
• Assist in conducting apartment tours with tenants and families.
• Schedule re-certification interviews and lease renewals.
• Prepare lease renewal correspondence.
• Carry out other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
