Job summary

SAHA is seeking a Compliance Specialist to oversee affordable housing compliance across multiple properties. You will review move-in files, monitor recertifications, and ensure adherence to HUD, state, and investor requirements. The role includes on-site audits, staff training, and coordination with auditors.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in housing compliance, with strong Excel/Word skills and Yardi familiarity. A hybrid work model and periodic travel within the Bay Area are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of compliance experience in affordable housing or property management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Yardi experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve move-in files for accuracy and compliance with rent, utility allowances, income limits, and program requirements.
• Conduct on-site file audits and coordinate with staff to track timelines.
• Provide staff training on compliance policies and procedures.
• Prepare responses and reporting to partners, regulatory agencies, and auditors.
• Assist site staff with inspections related to occupancy and compliance.
