Job summary

Towson University is seeking an Assistant Director of Housing Assignments & Operations to lead housing assignments, billing processes, and customer service within the Department of Housing and Residence Life. You will supervise staff, drive policy updates, and coordinate with IT, billing, and housing partners to ensure smooth operations.

The role reports to the Director of Housing & Business Operations and supports a large residential community, including summer housing and international student

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Four years of experience in housing operations.
• Project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication, diplomacy and detail orientation.
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and student well-being.

Responsibilities

• Oversee housing assignments, operations, and billing processes.
• Manage housing selection, offers, and waitlists and communicate updates weekly.
• Collaborate to set timelines and address needs across HRL administrative areas.
• Train staff and ensure policies are reviewed annually.
• Coordinate with Athletics and other partners on athlete housing needs.
• Supervise staff and ensure daily coverage for housing assignments support.
• Enhance customer service and manage day-to-day HRL operations.
• Serve on leadership teams and contribute to committees and TU projects.
