Job summary

University Hospital is seeking a self-directed professional to plan, develop, implement, and support clinical information systems within a major academic medical center. You will work independently on analysis, testing, and implementation to solve complex problems while adhering to university policies and regulatory requirements.

You will coordinate with end users and vendors, develop training programs, maintain project plans, and ensure effective system usage across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in health-related discipline preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in information systems, preferably in patient care.
• Direct experience with electronic medical records; Epic experience highly desirable.
• Must complete certification on an Epic application within 6 months of training.
• Ability to manage project work plans and maintain documentation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Equivalent education/experience may be substituted for degree requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides analysis, design, and support of hospital systems including testing, training, implementation, and ongoing support.
• Documents, communicates, and assists in problem determination and resolution.
• Interacts with end users and vendors to gather requirements and data.
• Assists in installation of software/hardware; aligns with IS&T standards.
• Develops and maintains training materials and build documents.
• Delivers effective training and promotes proper system usage by users.
• Contributes to departmental policy development and adherence to procedures.
