Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an experienced analyst/programmer to support an integrated information network. You will analyze problems, design and implement software, and coordinate interfaces across disparate systems to ensure high value services.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related field; a combination of training and responsibility may substitute.
• Three years experience in programming and systems design.
• Functional supervision of up to 3 full-time employees.

Responsibilities

• Orient and train new employees; schedule assigned employees; provide guidance and counsel to employees.
• Meet with user departments, IS staff and vendors to define and resolve application system problems.
• Analyze problems and determine efficient programming solutions.
• Develop specifications for software applications; design, code, test, debug, document and install software.
• Test and update software with new releases; coordinate testing and installation of new packages and interfaces.
