Job summary

Ohio State University seeks a qualified professional to lead and coordinate planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of integrated clinical information systems that support patient care, administration, and outcomes.

The role combines clinical knowledge with IT expertise to analyze complex systems, prepare specifications, train end users, and advise on system acquisitions that optimize clinical workflows across the organization.

Qualifications

• A college degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Allied Health and 4 years of IT experience, preferably within Clinical Operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of systems implementation including analysis, specification design, and implementation.
• Ability to apply technical and clinical expertise to deploy and optimize healthcare technology solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contributor and consultant for planning, design, development, implementation, functionality, and evaluation of integrated clinical information systems.
• Coordinate and provide support for new and current applications and software upgrades for clinical systems.
• Prepare detailed specifications and conduct assessments of the clinical environment to identify implications for system implementations.
• Advise end-user training on clinical applications and support development of training programs.
• Evaluate and recommend application acquisitions to optimize clinical workflows and outcomes.
