Job summary

Withum’s Tax Services Group is seeking a High Net Worth Tax Supervisor to lead all aspects of tax engagements from planning to completion. You'll supervise staff, mentor teams, and build strong client relationships across multiple offices including New Jersey and New York.

This role requires CPAs or candidates pursuing CPA certification, with experience in complex tax planning for founders and tech executives, and a strong commitment to client service and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Licensed CPA or working toward CPA certification with parts passed preferred.
• MS in Taxation preferred but not required.
• Experience in public accounting and tax for high-net-worth individuals and founders/tech executives is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of complex tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, fiduciaries, gifts and estates.
• Conduct advanced tax research and draft technical memoranda on complex issues.
• Design and implement tax planning strategies for wealth preservation and succession planning.
• Manage client relationships with proactive communication and responsive service.
• Mentor and supervise staff, fostering technical development and teamwork.
• Collaborate with partners on client engagements, thought leadership and business development.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and track industry trends.
• Contribute to process improvements and leverage technology to increase efficiency.
• Participate in firm-wide initiatives and continued education to support culture.
