Job summary

Withum's Tax Services Group seeks a High Net Worth Tax Supervisor to lead tax engagements from planning to completion, mentoring staff and maintaining strong client relationships. The role spans complex returns, planning, and collaboration with senior leadership.

Offices include Los Angeles, New York, San Diego, San Francisco, Orange County, East Brunswick, Red Bank, Princeton, and Whippany. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Accounting, CPA (or in progress), and 4+ years of public accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Licensed CPA or in CPA process with parts passed.
• MS in Taxation preferred but not required.
• At least 4 years of public accounting experience.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and projects.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation and review of complex high-net-worth individual, fiduciary, gift and estate tax returns.
• Conduct advanced tax research and draft technical memoranda.
• Design and implement tax planning strategies for founders and tech executives.
• Manage client relationships with proactive communication and service.
• Mentor and supervise staff to develop technical skills and teamwork.
• Collaborate with partners on client engagements and business development.
• Ensure compliance with evolving federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Contribute to process improvements and use of technology.
