Job summary

Withum seeks a High Net Worth Tax Manager to lead engagements across multiple offices, including New Jersey. You will supervise staff, build client relationships, and drive tax planning while delivering accurate filings. The role requires leadership, deep technical tax knowledge, and strong client service.

You will collaborate with seasoned CPAs and industry leaders in a dynamic environment, contributing to growth and excellence while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license, JD or MS in Taxation is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in tax at a public accounting firm with leadership of multiple engagements.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Review tax returns for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporations prepared by staff for accuracy.
• Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Handle and resolve tax controversies.
• Oversee tax research projects for diverse clients and industries.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet deadlines.
• Provide counsel during team evaluations and participate in professional development as instructor or discussion leader.
