Job summary

Withum's Tax Services Group seeks a High Net Worth Tax Supervisor to lead all aspects of tax engagements, from planning through completion, including staff supervision and client relationship management. You will mentor teams and collaborate with senior leaders to deliver compliant, strategic tax solutions for founders and tech executives.

The role requires CPA status or progress toward CPA, 4+ years public accounting, and deep knowledge of wealth, estate and international tax issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• CPA license or working towards CPA with parts passed.
• MS in Taxation preferred but not required.
• Experience with founders/tech executives and related tax matters preferred but not required.
• At least 4 years of public accounting experience.
• Excellent client service and communication.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements.
• Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills.
• Analytical, organizational and project management strengths.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation/review of complex high-net-worth, fiduciary, gift and estate tax returns.
• Conduct advanced tax research and draft technical memoranda.
• Design and implement tax planning for wealth preservation and succession planning.
• Manage client relationships with proactive communication and strategic guidance.
• Mentor and supervise staff, fostering technical development.
• Collaborate with partners and senior leadership on engagements and business development.
• Ensure compliance with evolving federal, state and local tax laws.
• Contribute to process improvements and technology use for efficiency.
• Support firm-wide initiatives and continuing education.
