Job summary

Withum’s Tax Services Group seeks a Tax Senior Manager to lead complex tax engagements, from planning to completion, mentoring staff and cultivating client relationships.

You will work with CPAs and industry leaders across multiple offices, shaping tax strategies for founders and tech executives while ensuring compliance with evolving regulations and leveraging technology to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• CPA, JD, LLM or MST required.
• Minimum of 8+ years of professional services experience.
• Industry knowledge in Technology/Startup and Emerging Growth is a plus.
• Demonstrated strategic leadership and market opportunity definition.
• Proven ability to develop and deploy client relationships and business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead reviews of high-net-worth, fiduciary, gift and estate tax returns.
• Conduct advanced tax research and draft technical memoranda.
• Design tax planning strategies for wealth preservation and succession planning.
• Manage client relationships with proactive communication and strategic consultations.
• Mentor and supervise staff; drive technical development.
• Collaborate with partners on engagements, thought leadership and business development.
• Ensure compliance with evolving federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Drive process improvement and leverage technology for accuracy.
