Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston is seeking a Lead Histotechnologist to oversee Histology operations under the Histology Supervisor and Anatomic Pathology Manager. You will act as an expert resource, guide workflow, and ensure adherence to procedures across shifts.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years in a high complexity Histology Lab including special stains, IHC, EM, or IF.
• 3 years experience may be considered for exceptional internal candidates.
• Demonstrates autonomy in leading multiple projects and staffing under leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Performs and oversees a full range of Histology tasks according to SOPs and acts as an expert resource.
• Assist Supervisor in maintaining workflow and Histology Operations; report issues to supervisory/managerial staff.
• Provides technical support, researches new workflows, writes SOPs, and maintains area supplies.
• Oversees QC and instrumentation logs; compiles monthly QC statistics; serves as technical on-call for off-shifts.
• Directs daily lab workflow, reallocates resources, and manages staff assignments.
• Trains Histotechnologists I/II and Lab Support Assistants; participates in training/competency development.
• Acts as liaison between Lab Support Services and other departments; communicates issues to clients.
