Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance, LLC is seeking an experienced estimator to support growth in performance-based maintenance for roadways and bridges. You will prepare detailed estimates for bids by gathering information, analyzing data, and presenting options to leadership.

The ideal candidate has strong numerical and analytical skills, experience with Excel/Power BI, and the ability to manage relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of proven estimator experience, ideally in highway or structures maintenance.
• Strong financial and project management knowledge; data analysis skills.
• Advanced math and IT abilities with analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Understand the performance-based maintenance contracting business model.
• Understand the project/program and its requirements.
• Determine key variables for cost and other estimates.
• Gather first-hand information from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators.
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, etc.
• Use software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting and budgeting.
• Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors.
• Create and submit estimate reports and/or bids to appropriate persons (project managers, company leadership, etc.).
• Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.).
• Present bids to Company Leadership at gate reviews
