Job summary
DCS Asset Maintenance, LLC is seeking an experienced estimator to support growth in performance-based maintenance contracting for roadways and bridges. You will prepare detailed estimates for bids by gathering information, working with operators, performing analyses, and presenting options to leadership for decisions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent and advanced numerical skills and an analytical mindset.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven experience as estimator or similar position.
- Experience with highway or structures asset maintenance is a plus
- Advanced math and data analysis skills are required
Responsibilities
- Understand the performance-based maintenance contracting business model
- Understand the project/program and its requirements
- Determine key variables for cost and other estimates
- Gather information from sites, suppliers, subcontractors, and operators
- Conduct research to obtain labor costs, materials, times, etc.
- Use software for data analysis, modeling, forecasting and budgeting
- Review offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors
- Create and submit estimate reports and bids to leadership
- Build relationships with key vendors and engineers
- Present bids to Company Leadership at gate reviews
