Job summary
Powerserve Technologies is seeking a Senior Substation Technician to assure reliable operation of electrical substations in manufacturing settings. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair high-voltage equipment including transformers, breakers, and relays, while supporting upgrades and safety compliance.
You will work with engineering teams to plan maintenance, perform diagnostics, and ensure continuous power distribution.
Qualifications
- High school equivalent with electrical apprenticeship or technical training.
- 5+ years with high-voltage equipment in substations or similar environments.
- Strong reading of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to sites nationwide.
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs on substation equipment.
- Diagnose faults using testing equipment and technical documentation.
- Install and calibrate protective relays, circuit breakers, transformers, and control systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations to plan upgrades and modifications.
- Record maintenance activities and ensure compliance with safety standards.
