Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high voltage and EHV substation initiatives across the project lifecycle, from design through closeout. You will manage budgets, schedules, risk, and client expectations while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on-time, within scope, and with quality.

The role demands extensive Power & Energy PM expertise, strong communication, and ability to drive contracts and risk mitigation in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management or related field in Power & Energy Market.
• 12 years of post-education experience in a project management role within Power Delivery/Utility Industry.
• Minimum of 5 years leading engineering/construction teams for high voltage/substation projects.
• Experience with project management processes and tools: Contract Management, Meetings, Earned Value, Change, Risk, Schedule (CPM/Primavera P6).
• Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills with business acumen and QA/QC adherence.
• Ability to elicit cooperation from diverse stakeholders and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for high voltage/EHV substation projects, overseeing design, budgets, forecasts, margins and KPIs.
• Develop strategies to engage stakeholders, report progress, and manage client relationships.
• Guide pursuit/initiation activities including Go/No-Go decisions, contract reviews, risk mitigation, and pricing.
• Participate in or lead contract negotiations and client presentations.
• Direct technical reviews, assign qualified staff, and ensure QA/QC adherence.
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams and provide high-level strategic client advice.
• Lead staff performance guidance and management.
• Maintain project docs: Risk, PMP, QP, PSP, Communications Plan, etc.
• Lead project kick-off meetings and coordinate resource/subcontracting needs.
• Provide monthly status reporting to client and management, noting scope/budget impacts.
• Oversee problem project reviews and recovery plans.
• Ensure timely updates and lessons learned for future projects.
• Collaborate across disciplines for trusted-advisor solutions.
• Uphold ethical decisions and company policies.
• Perform additional duties as required.
